Carson Horseshoe Club Closure
UPDATE: Frank Streshley, Tax and License Division Chief in Carson City, said the Nevada Gaming Control Board "was informed of the temporary closure of the Carson Horse Club in advance of the closure."
He said the Carson Horseshoe Club must make "reasonable accommodations" to pay their patrons casino tokens or any vouchers. He was not sure if the Horseshoe Club uses the cash in-cash out vouchers.

The State of Nevada Gaming Control Board has policy rules governing the closure and ownership changeover of every licensed casino in the State of Nevada. In part GCB policy ensures patrons will be able to exchange casino money vouchers and casino chips for cash. We contacted the GCB in Carson City, and are awaiting their comments.
Here is the first vital point on a casino closure/changeover plan from the State GCB policy memo:
"A changeover/closure plan should be established and forwarded to the Audit
Division if the affected property is a Group I licensee, or to the Tax and License
Division if a Group II licensee. An additional copy should be provided to the
Enforcement Division. The plan should be submitted at least seven days before
the changeover/closure occurs and the following items should be addressed, if
applicable:
1. Contact information of person coordinating the changeover/closure activity
(e.g., name, title, phone number, e-mail address, and if available, mobile
phone number that can be used to reach contact person during activities). "
Paragraph 9: The state GCB must be told 60 days before closure the
if a casino is ceasing operations:
" 9. At least 60 days prior to ceasing operations, submission of a NGC
Regulation 5.115(12) plan to address the satisfaction of those periodic
payments being made by the licensee to its patrons"
