Hawaiian Lei Day celebration happening April 30 at Nevada State Museum in Carson City

The Nevada State Museum is celebrating Lei Day on Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free for this annual event. In Hawaii, "May Day is Lei Day" and the museum is sharing this tradition with the northern Nevada community with a lei making demonstration by Nā ʻŌiwi O Hawaiʻi, Northern Nevada Hawaiian Civic Club.
