One person died in an accident today three miles south of Gardnerville in Douglas County, the Nevada Highway Patrol reports.

An early investigation into the accident shows that the driver of a 2004 Ford F-150 was pulling a camper trailer and traveling in the southbound lane of Highway 395. For reasons that remain unclear the Ford, occupied by a 73-year-old male from California, drifted into the northbound travel lane and hit a commercial vehicle driven by a Wisconsin resident, said NHP Trooper Daniel Lopez.

Here is the Northern Nevada, Northern California and Sierra fishing report for the week of June 8-14:

First, it was saluting his opponent’s dugout as he circled third base after hitting a home run last year in a CSN uniform early in the season. Then, it was tossing his bat up 10 feet in the air as he hit a lazy fly-ball in the post-season tournament later in that season. Now, he's blowing kisses to the pitcher as he crosses home plate after a home run. My question is: When will the overpaid #1 draft pick of 2010 learn to just play the game?

If you saw "Hangover," the flag-waver for the series, you know what "Hangover Part 2 (or II, it wavers) is all about. We all know the art of creating legislation is so unseemly that it is regularly compared to making sausage. But, unlike good sausage, does it have to leave a bad taste in your mouth?

The same thing happens every two years here in Carson City. The last days of the legislative session are always a wild time, as legislators hurry to finish up work within the 120-day deadline. Almost anything can happen. Rules are suspended, bills die only to be revived, new bills are introduced and voted on before anyone can have a chance to read and understand them.
