Fire units are enroute to a report of a chimney fire at a home at 1851 No. Nevada. Resident said he came home to find his home filled with smoke.

8:16am: Fire found to be an illegal burn. Resident illegally burning brush on his property without a control burn permit from the fire department. Fire extinguished.

Nevada’s worsening economy is weighing heavily in Las Vegas with city workers there becoming more fearful by the day for their jobs.

So much for the “blizzard of late November.” It used to be that you could cut the National Weather Service storm forecasts in half. It looks like we might have to start cutting them by two-thirds.
