The final details are in place for the CSN/WNC game on Friday, April 22nd where the WNC Baseball program will give half of the ticket sales to the Memorial Funds each honoring the boys ("The Stephen Anderson Memorial Fund" and "The Keegan James Aiazzi Memorial Fund"). Blue and White rubber bracelets will also be sold at the game that will read: RIP Stephen & Keegan (on front) and 'Forever Strong' (on back). Each bracelet will be sold for $3.00 and 100% of those proceeds will go to the boy's funds. Come out and show your support for Stephen and Keegan on Friday, April 22nd!!!

CARSON CITY — Changing one word in a law could save Nevada up to $11 million.
Secretary of State Ross Miller has sponsored a bill that would change who is exempt from Nevada’s business license fee.
Right now, home-based businesses making less than $27,000 a year in net earnings are exempt from the requirement.
Miller would change the language to “a natural person” rather than the current “person,” since businesses have used this as an excuse to declare themselves exempt.

Carson City paramedics have responded to a traffic accident in the 2100 block of Airport Road this afternoon. The accident happened at around 4 p.m. CareFlight was called and will pick up an injured person at the Carson City Airport, according to scanner traffic. No other details were available.

Nevada seismologists are keeping a close eye on an area southwest of Hawthorne where hundreds of earthquakes have been detected since Sunday, reports MyNews4.Com. CARSON CITY — A bill that would partially ban smoking on college campuses passed out of the Assembly Judiciary Committee today.
Assemblyman Paul Aizley, D-Las Vegas, amended Assembly Bill 128 to require colleges and universities to establish campus smoking zones outside of which a person would not be able to smoke.
Under the amendment, the smoking zones would have to be a reasonable distance away from walking paths and doorways.

The Nevada legislature just gave the finger to every law enforcement officer who daily puts his or her life on the line in the fight against illegal drugs. Officers like the Carson City deputies who discovered a boy being held in a makeshift home prison by his meth-addicted parents.
The same day that story broke, State Senator Sheila Leslie had to pull a bill that is designed to seriously interrupt the availability of essential ingredients for methamphetamine production, because it didn't have the support it needs to pass the Senate.
It's hardly a surprise.
