Nevada Legal Services has launched two months worth of free foreclosure seminars teaching homeowners about mediation and loss mitigation.
The class in Carson City will be on Monday, July 11, beginning at 2 p.m., at the Carson City Library, 900 North Roop Street.
The class will also be held in Dayton on July 26, 1:30 p.m., at the library, 321 Old Dayton Valley Road.

A project to complete a new north-south water transmission line on the east side of Carson City will result in one lane traffic with flagger controls from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays for the following roads:

  • Damon Road between Tucker Court and South Edmonds Drive
  • South Lompa Lane south of Edmonds Drive
  • Conte Drive from Valley View Drive to Snyder Avenue
  • Conte Drive from Damon Road to Sinbad Street

Last night, a Rangers fan fell 20 feet onto concrete on his head after reaching out over the railing to catch a baseball tossed by Josh Hamilton. The fan was bloody but appeared to be stable as he was talking with fans and paramedics to make sure that his 6 year old son was going to be taken care of. Everyone assured him that his son would be okay. The fan passed away later that evening in the hospital.

The Nevada Bighorns improved their record last night to 10-11 by beating the Marysville Gold Sox 8-7 behind a masterful game at the plate by Adam Anderson who went 4 for 5 with 3 singles and an RBI double in the ninth that scored the eventual winning run when Sean Costella crossed the plate.

The Bighorns had solid pitching as well, Jason Sirak went 5 2/3 and Matt Blaemiere grabbed the save by finishing out the game for Nevada
