RENO- With the Aces having a commanding seven and a half game lead in the Pacific North Division with over the Tacoma Rainiers thanks in part from taking the first two games in this four game series against Tacoma. Reno looked to distance themselves even more from Tacoma on Monday night.

The Aces got a very quick start with the bats in the first inning behind two RBI doubles from Tony Abreu (scoring Evan Frey and Angel Berroa), and Cole Gillespie (scoring Abreu) off of Tacoma starter LHP Luke French (8-8, 6.12 ERA) for an eary 3-0 lead.

Carson City Sheriff deputies Sunday night arrested Luis Mayoral-Ortiz, 27, in the 3200 block of Market Street for sexual assault involving a 15-year-old girl.

According to the police report, the victim reported being at a residence in the 400 block of Hot Springs Road, and that the suspect had given her shots of Jack Daniels. She said she became sick and passed out, and when she woke up, the suspect was having sex with her.

RENO- After what some are saying was the best game at Aces Ballpark on Saturday night which saw some 'fireworks' with the Aces starting catcher Robby Hammock get ejected for arguing balls and strikes while in the squat behind the plate, a sellout crowd was also treated to an offensive shootout, and eventually an 8-7 Aces victory. Sunday afternoon's game was a calm one in comparison.
