A Carson City man was arrested and faces a felony charge of sexual assault on a child.
David Alan Stone, 58, was arrested in the 2400 block of Bunch Way on Monday, 8:26 p.m. after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Stone was placed into handcuffs and taken to jail with a confirmed warrant and a bail amount of $150,000.

A Carson City man was arrested and faces multiple felony drug charges after authorities found 14 grams of meth hidden in the man's underwear.

Eduardo Segura, 27, was arrested at Hot Springs Road and Roop at 10 a.m. Feb. 8. He was pulled over because of a vehicle license plate that was missing. Upon contact, officers recognized him because of other entanglements with the law including time in prison that involved a Carson City shooting in which he was deported to Mexico following the sentence, the arrest report states.

Gone. Our umbilical cord to the Internet was cut Monday and suddenly we were technologically as helpless as babes.
The widespread outage that started Monday left thousands of AT&T customers in Northern Nevada without internet, cell phone and some landline phone service. And Charter service also was sporadically down.
