During the Friends of the Nevada State Museum recent Tin Cup Roundup fundraising event in Carson City, the raffle of an uncirculated 1884 Morgan silver dollar resulted in the coin traveling across state lines to California.

The community of Silver Springs is excited to announce its annual Wild Wild West Founders Day Parade, happening on Saturday, Oct. 12. This year’s parade will be led by the Nevada Chapter of the National Pony Express Association, who will carry an authentic mochila along Ft. Churchill Street, honoring the historic Pony Express route.

Items on the agenda include a new multi-use path construction, JAC purchases, trail grants and more.
