Carson City Library's Summer Reading Challenge 2023 theme is With 'Around the World'

Summer signals the return of the annual Carson City Library Summer Reading Challenge starting Saturday, June 17 from 12 to 4 p.m. with a themed kick-off celebration titled, "Around the World.”
This annual reading literacy initiative provides an opportunity for the public to join in the challenge and festivities held at the Carson City Library, located at 900 North Roop St.

The Douglas County Board of County Commissioners is currently accepting applications for one appointment to the Airport Advisory Committee. All applicants must be Douglas County residents. The current vacancy is for an Airport Soaring Community member.
Carson Library Director to speak at Monday's Democratic luncheon

Joy Holt's resume includes experience as a library aide, library assistant, academic student reference librarian, assistant library director, digital services librarian, assistant to the state librarian and deputy library director.

Western Nevada College accountant Cherrice Dotson was delighted to be able to combine her love of art and the military by personally hand painting a patriotic mural at the entrance to the Veterans Resource Center within the Cedar Building on the Carson City campus of Western Nevada College.
