Lyon County Commission to discuss second bridge in Dayton at Feb. 3 meeting

The Lyon County Board of Commissioners are slated to discuss a second bridge over the Carson River in Dayton. Currently, there is one public access bridge from Highway 50 to Dayton Valley Road.

Carson City man arrested on felony warrant during search for Bank Robber

A 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of E. William Street on a Felony Priority 5 Warrant while deputies searched for a suspect in a bank robbery.

‘Help Dana Down’ annual Children’s Cancer Center fundraiser happening now through Feb. 4

Each year, Carson City Toyota’s Dana Whaley braves his fear of heights to raise money for the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Center.

Now in his tenth year, Dana is asking for the communities help of raising the goal donations of $3,000.
