Carson City sheriff's SET makes arrests for alleged marijuana concentrate sales

Three people were arrested Saturday by the Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team, with two of the suspects alleged to be connected to a suspected marijuana concentrate sales operation.

A 17-year-old juvenile male was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and other offenses early Monday morning after a pursuit in which a patrol vehicle was clipped, a Carson City Sheriff's Office sergeant said.

Here is a picture of the comet. I took this July 25, 2020 from over by Washoe Lake. I had to keep working at it. First I had to make sure I had the right portion of the sky. The bottom two Big Dipper stars on the generally right side of photo are what points down somewhat towards the comet. 10-second exposure. I'm just an amateur photographer. It's very far away of course now. I could hardly find it - at first finding something else, but then I finally found the right blip. Oh Boy!

Fire shuts down US 395 at Hallelujah Junction, smoke lingers throughout western Nevada

UPDATE MONDAY: The Carson City Fire Department responded to assist Truckee Meadows Fire on the #NorthFire. As of Monday morning the fire has burned 3,000 acres and is 0 percent contained. Firefighters worked throughout the night battling this blaze and are back on the fire line this morning, according to CCFD.
