Birthday Party Donations Go To The Homeless Animals

The Carson Tahoe SPCA was honored to accept a generous donation from an incredible young man. Alex Garton had a birthday last month, and instead of gifts asked all his party friends to please bring a donation for the homeless animals.

Pottery demonstration on Saturday during Downtown Carson City Wine Walk

Carson City Pottery School will be demonstrating pottery making at Caterpillar’s Hookah Lounge on Carson Street during wine walk this Saturday, June 1, from 1-5pm.

Carson City Pottery is located in the basement of the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada in Carson City, with small classes for ages 12 and up. If you cannot make the wine walk, you may find Carson City Pottery on Facebook here, email carsoncitypottery@yahoo.com, or call 775-313-8628.

Driver in stolen car that crashed Saturday punched officer then admits to using heroin

A Dayton man and Auburn, Calif., woman face felony charges after the stolen car he was driving crashed into a car causing injury on Saturday during a pursuit by Carson City Sheriff's patrol officers.

William Vuki Wilson, 32, faces six felony charges including leaving the scene of an accident, DUI drugs, possessing a stolen vehicle, eluding, drug possession and reckless driving causing substantial bodily harm.

Three-time Super Bowl champion Roger Craig to speak at Governor's Dinner

One of the all-time greats of the San Francisco 49ers, three-time Super Bowl champion Roger Craig will serve as the keynote speaker at the 45th annual Governor’s Dinner in July, the Nevada athletics department announced Tuesday.

The dinner is set for July 12 at the Governor’s Mansion in Carson City. Proceeds from the Governor's Dinner benefit student-athlete scholarships at the University of Nevada.
