All aboard the Twain Train for the second annual Mark Twain Days Festival
Prepare for a phenomenal adventure as the Twain Train VIP Excursion makes its triumphant return to the second annual Mark Twain Days Festival. Departing from the Eastgate Depot in Carson City on Friday, May 10 at 2:30 p.m., passengers will embark on a remarkable 24-mile round trip ride to Virginia City where they can experience various Mark Twain events.

Throughout the ride, local musicians, storytellers and beloved Mark Twain characters will roam the cars, captivating travelers with talks of adventure and wit. Upon arriving in Virginia City, passengers will have 3.5 hours to explore the historic town and the many Mark Twain themed events scheduled for the day. Additional amenities include free shuttles for train passengers in Virginia City as well as drinks and snacks onboard the train.
Special exhibitions, merchants, saloons and more await as guests stroll the streets once walked by Mark Twain himself. Attendees can also look forward to a unique exhibit at St. Mary’s Art Center, interactive demonstrations at the Fourth Ward School & Museum and a special sneak-peak of the Territorial Enterprise Museum.
