Carson City sheriff's deputies make arrests for stolen truck, drug offenses

A 35-year-old woman was arrested Sunday for felony suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and a drug charge, a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report states.

The suspect, Leanna Langham of Reno, was taken into custody at 6:06 p.m. in the 900 block of Colorado Street.

According to the arrest report, deputies went to the Colorado Street address after the home owner called dispatch and said three subjects had entered his home. The homeowner saw this via security camera system while watching it from a Sparks hospital.

Carson City sheriff's deputies responded to the scene where all three subjects exited the garage of the residence. They were detained with two of the male subjects later cleared by someone associated with the residence who knew them.

It was learned the subjects arrived the home in a black Dodge pickup without plates. A registration check was done using the VIN where officers learned the truck was reported stolen out of Truckee, the arrest report states. The camera showed Langham as the driver of the truck, and she was in possession of of the key chain. She was arrested for suspicion of stolen property. Also listed on the arrest report was suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. Bail: $25,000.

In other arrests:
Three were booked Saturday into Carson City Jail for multiple drug charges, a sheriff's booking report states.

Arrested were Bryan Thomas Reents, 39, and Shelby Dawn Lynn, 23, of Pleasant Hill, Oregon. They were each arrested for suspicion of felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Lynn was also arrested for possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, a gross misdemeanor. Reents was also booked for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.

Also booked was Bryan Michael Lampert, 27, of Carson City for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia. Bail for Lynn and for Reents: $6,137 bondable. Bail for Lampert: $3,637.

— A 36-year-old Carson City woman was arrested early Monday in the 600 block of North Stewart Street for a misdemeanor probation violation warrant issued in August 2018 out of Carson City Municipal Court. Bail: $3,137.

A 31-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday night in the 400 block of Winnie Lane for suspicion of domestic battery.

According to the arrest report, the victim told deputies he and his girlfriend had been arguing in a vehicle, the argument escalated and that she hit him in the arm and bit his right forearm.

The man showed deputies his right forearm, which had a clearly visible bite mark, the report states. There was also minor abrasions around the bite mark. The man declined medical attention.

Deputies interviewed the suspect, who said she grabbed the man's phone from the center console of the vehicle and kept it by the right side of her body. She said the man reached for the phone and attempted to grab it from her. She said his shoulder bumped her, and then admitted to biting the man, the report states.

She was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested for suspicion of domestic battery. Bail: $3,137.

— A 56-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for a contempt of court warrant issued Oct. 14, 2020 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.

— A 57-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday for suspicion of battery on a police officer, a gross misdemeanor.

According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to a bar in the 900 block of South Carson Street for a report of a battery. Dispatch advised there was a female on scene who tried to hit a cab driver and a bartender.

Deputies made contact with the subject, who was sitting in the front seat of the cab and refused to get out. A deputy instructed the woman to exit the vehicle, but she ignored the officer, the report states. The officer then grabbed the woman's right arm and was assisted out of the cab.

The woman was unsteady on her feet and refused to give her name. Becoming uncooperative, she was placed into handcuffs and refused to get in the rear of the patrol unit, locking her legs. The bartender and cab driver both advised they did not want to press charges.

The deputy placed the woman in civil protective custody because she was unable to care for herself due to the level of intoxication. She was assisted into the patrol vehicle, where she was transported to the hospital for medical clearance. At the hospital she kicked the officer on the right side of his ribs. She was arrested for alleged battery on a police officer. Bail: $2,500.

— A man was arrested Saturday for being in violation of a suspended sentence. According to the arrest report, deputies responded to a residence for a report of an ongoing issue of a man yelling at his children. Deputies learned he was on alternative sentence with a no drinking clause. The man was asked if he had been drinking. He replied he had. He provided a preliminary breath test with a result of .122. He was arrested for violation of a suspended sentence. Bail: $1,000 cash only.

— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 7:12 p.m. for misdemeanor being an ex-felon failing to register. Bail: $242.

— A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday for misdemeanor suspicion of driving on a suspended license. Bail: $637.
