Special Olympics Nevada to host 'Tip-a-Cop' fundraiser Thursday at Chili's in Carson City
Special Olympics Nevada and The Law Enforcement Torch Run are teaming up to host a special “Tip-A-Cop” fundraiser event at Chili’s Bar & Grill. Law enforcement officers, along with Special Olympics Nevada athletes, will volunteer their time as “celebrity waiters,” interacting and serving guests for tips.
This event coincides with the 50th Anniversary of Special Olympics and to celebrate, Chili’s is hosting Tip-A-Cop in their locations in both Carson City and Las Vegas. 100 percent of tips received will be donated to the organization.

The Carson City event will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 20 at Chili’s Bar & Grill , 3784 U.S. Highway 395 S, Carson City.
In addition to supporting the organization’s sports, education, athlete leadership training, and health programs for athletes with intellectual disabilities, donations raised during the event will assist Special Olympics Nevada in its efforts to establish an independently run chapter in Nevada by the end of 2023.
While all fundraising dollars support athletes in Nevada, Special Olympics Nevada is currently under the umbrella of Special Olympics Northern California.
