Late run lifts freshman boys past Damonte Ranch
A run of eight unanswered points over the final 2 minutes, 30 seconds lifted the Carson High freshman boys basketball team to a 50-43 Sierra League victory at home against Damonte Ranch on Tuesday afternoon.Damonte Ranch took a one-point lead late in the fourth quarter, but the Senators closed strong to secure a win that improved their league record to 11-0 (18-1 overall) and pushed their win streak to 13 straight games.Carson led 26-14 at halftime and 38-32 at the end of three quarters.Sage Smith scored 13 points and Rafe King 12 to lead the Senators offensively. Jay Lanuza also scored six points.
