Advocates to End Domestic Violence fulfills 2 of 3 goals as Carson City campus takes shape

Carson City Toyota Donates to Advocates to End Domestic Violence to help with funding shortage

Typically, Taste of Downtown is the largest annual fundraiser for the nonprofit. Due to COVID-19, the event has unfortunately been cancelled.

Organizers aim for new Taste of Downtown Carson City date; original July event canceled
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Wed, 05/06/2020 - 1:58pmIn an update Wednesday from Advocates to End Domestic Violence, the organization behind the community's annual summer culinary favorite Taste of Downtown Carson City, the event won't take place on July 18 as volunteers had hoped. However, organizers are working on plans to find a way to make the event happen this year.
Carson City women's shelter receives $2,500 holiday gift from Greater Nevada Credit Union

With dozens of food and drink booths along with several bands, Downtown Carson Street was transformed into a massive street party on Saturday evening.
According to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, over two thousand people were estimated to have attended.

Seeing as the annual parade is still months away, I’m going to side with ‘The Taste’ purely for its timeliness. With over forty local eateries participating, multiple raffles at downtown shops, and seven bands rocking every corner of the event, it’s practically impossible to have a bad time. This might be the biggest happening in town, but it’s by no means the only good time: read on for all this weekend’s options.

Advocates to End Domestic Violence heads rural county list of state grant funds awards
