Look no further than these sweet and funny boys. Nubsy and Beanie are just 11 months old, born on Thanksgiving Day of 2021. They would be super thankful to have a forever home before their first birthday in less than 3 weeks.

Happy Nevada Day! Do not let the weekend pass by without visiting Catmandu to meet a sweetheart kitty named Snowflake. While you would expect a cat named Snowflake to be white, she is black. She does, however, have two snowflake shaped white stars on her chest and belly, hence the name.

Yes, it’s Maximillian Cornelius Cat aka Max again. He is still desperately in need of a loving, furever home and the sooner the better.

He really needs to be someone’s one and only, something that just isn’t possible at Catmandu.

Jewels is a sweet, loving, beautiful girl who has been through the flames, risen from the ashes and is hoping for a loving forever home for the rest of her life. A long haired girl who loves to be brushed, she is a strong and healthy 12 years young. Since many cats live to be 20 or older, Jewels likely has some good years left to share with the right loving human companion.

In honor of Betty White, known for her animal activism and advocacy, Catmandu, a no-kill, cage-free cat rescue and sanctuary in Carson City is holding a Giving Grid fundraising drive in her name.

Catmandu is excited to announce the purchase of our facility at 1829 Brown Street in Carson City. After 4 years of providing a cage-free shelter, adoptions, spay and neuter and rescue services for northern Nevada’s cats and kittens, we are now a permanent part of Carson City and the surrounding communities.

Touched By Angels gift shop is selling hand made cat toys to raise money for Catmandu cat rescue. Check out this beautiful store at their new location at 205 East John Street. Purchase a large crochet dangling cat toy for $5 or a small one for $3. 100% of the proceeds will go to help the cats at Catmandu!

September 18, 2016 is the date for the 5th annual

Catmandu cat rescue, adoption center and sanctuary will be closed to the public from Monday, February 29th through Tuesday, March 15th for our annual Spring Break and deep cleaning projects. We re-open on Wednesday, March 16th and will resume our normal hours of operation which are: Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
We want to thank the Carson City community for your continued support and ask you to please come visit our kitties at the center on or after March 16th.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Catmandu in Carson City recover veterinary costs for a badly injured cat, medical costs for the many kittens brought in during this kitten season, and much needed facility maintenance and repair. Catmandu and Jordan Essentials bath and body products has teamed together to raise money for Catmandu cat rescue here in Carson City. Catmandu goal is to sell 100 lotion bars which will earn them $450, thats a lot of cat food! For each $12 lotion bar sold Catmandu will earn $4.50.

We are looking for volunteers to help with our Have A Heart Valentine fundraiser to help raise money for the rescue efforts of Catmandu cat rescue.

Since opening the doors to the first cate in March of 2014, Catmandu has forever given homes to 83 cats and kittens. As of now there are currently 47 in residence ready for adoption.
