Our Tuesday, Feb. 4 walk is at Northridge. Meet in the Multi-Purpose Athletic Center's (MAC) parking lot at 1860 Russell Way. We will walk in the Northridge neighborhood. Flashlight required.

Muscle Powered is a local non-profit organization that promotes walking, hiking, biking and trail building. The Tuesday morning, Feb. 4 walk will be held at John Mankins Park, East. No dogs allowed in park. Meet at 3051 Oak Ridge Drive and West College Parkway. The walk is along a pavement trail.

Carson City area weather: Sunny and warm into Saturday, wind and snow return Sunday

By Sunday though, that will change as a strong cold front brings much colder and windier conditions with a possible quick round of snow, according to the National Weather Service.

Guided snowshoe hikes with a ranger begin Saturday on the Carson Ranger District

The walks begin this Saturday, Jan. 25, and will be offered every Saturday through March 28.

Events include a Chinese New Year Celebration at the Nevada State Museum and the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada. Misfits Theater Group Holds Auditions for Spring Melodrama

This old-time melodrama directed by Andra Woolman is set in the Wild West and has a cast of eight (8) men and five (5) women. As with all melodramas, good triumphs over evil, love wins out, and laughs abound! Performance dates are April 24, 25, 26 and May 1, 2, 3 at the Odeon Hall in Dayton. Carson City man lands 9-plus pound rainbow at Topaz Lake

Lash and his girlfriend, Lisa Edmonds, caught two fish. But it was what happened Jan. 2, that made his fishing day stand out from all the rest.

Carson City deputies arrest woman for second domestic battery

According to the report, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Wednesday on a report of a domestic battery. Upon arrival they spoke with the reporting party who said the woman is the mother of their child, who had arrived at the home uninvited.
