Well, here we are, alive and mostly well, after almost a third of a year without sports. I didn't think it was possible. Thank goodness I've had Mark Twain to keep me in a state of moderate good cheer.

Only one bad thing about summer, is that now the days will start getting shorter each day by one minute. But we still have plenty of time to get outdoors to fish and camp.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office team includes some outstanding K9 Officers who make sure to keep the community safe through sniffing out drugs, taking down bad guys, tracking scents, and all around fighting the crime like only very good boys (and girls!) can.

One particular K9 Officer of them was in the spotlight today with presents and extra love, as K9 Officer Ivo celebrated his 8th birthday!

RENO - Based on processed applications as of May 13, 2020, Nevada State Bank has announced approval for 4,255 U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans totaling $592,005,500.

More than 68% of the loans were made to businesses with fewer than 10 employees and approximately 82% of the loans approved were for amounts less than $150,000 (57% for amounts less than $50,000). The funding will help preserve payrolls for 65,607 Nevada jobs, based on applicant data.
