Carson City Fire Department called to structure fire on Tiger Drive, some homes evacuated
UPDATE 11:55PM: One person suffered minor injuries that did not require medical transport to the hospital in the Tiger Drive structure fire Sunday night, said Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief Jon Pedrini.
The fire started in an 8 foot by 8 foot outdoor detached laundry facility at 71 Tiger Drive. The fire spread was stopped as it closed in on the main living structure, Pedrini said. The mobile home had mainly exterior damage as well as smoke and water damage. An adjacent unit had some fire damage to siding.

UPDATE 10:30PM: A Carson City Fire Department battalion chief on scene reported to dispatch that firefighters gained control of the blaze and outside agency assistance at the scene was no longer needed.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Sunday night to a structure fire in the 70 block of Tiger Drive in North Carson City.
Multiple 911 calls came into dispatch beginning at around 10:05 p.m. reporting heavy smoke at a storage unit on Tiger Drive. First responder on scene reported the storage structure fire was moving close into residences.
Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies arrived on scene at Tiger Drive and began evacuating nearby residences in the mobile home park. A Carson Now reader said the fire is in the mobile homes behind C-A-L Ranch off of Hot Springs Road.
Multiple fire engines have responded. A fire investigator has been called to the scene. No injuries have been reported at this time. The cause is unknown at this time.
People should stay clear of the area.
