Carson City man arrested on multiple child pornography, sexual assault charges
A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested by Special Enforcement Team deputies and Carson City Sheriff’s Office detectives in the area of Clear Creek and Dat So La Lee on five counts of sexual assault on a victim under 14, six counts of using a minor under 14 for pornography, and one count of felony child abuse.
Aaron Cody Grayshield was arrested after Special Enforcement Team Deputies and Carson City Sheriff’s Office Detectives teamed up to serve a felony arrest warrant for sex crimes against a child to suspect Aaron Grayshield.
Grayshield was wanted for 12 counts of sex related crimes against a minor, according to the report, and deputies also had information that Grayshield was a knife maker and consistently carried a knife.
Grayshield was returning to his home from a doctor’s appointment, and SET and detectives set a perimeter around the South Carson City Native American reservation in order to intercept Grayshield before he returned home. Deputies watched as Grayshield drove his vehicle northbound on Center Street toward Clear Creek Avenue.
Deputies initiated a high-risk vehicle stop near the intersection of Dat So La Lee Way and Clear Creek Avenue. Deputies ordered Grayshield out of the vehicle at gunpoint, and he surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.
Bail: $150,000.
