Governor orders Northern Nevada offices closed Monday due to dangerous road conditions
CARSON CITY — All Nevada state government offices in Northern Nevada will be closed Monday due to weather conditions, according to the governor's office.
Due to heavy snow and wind forecast to continue through Monday,, the Nevada Department of Transportation and Nevada State Police are reporting dangerous road conditions in the Carson City, Washoe County and Douglas County areas.
Gov. Steve Sisolak has ordered all state government offices closed other than essential public safety and corrections personnel on Monday.
The governor, along with NDOT and State Police, will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions, according to a news release from the Nevada Governor's Office.
"The safety and well-being of the state’s employees are of the utmost concern," according to the statement.
