Nevada unemployment sees slight November increase; Carson City at 4 percent
The rise in unemployment was due to an increase of 6,070 to the Nevada labor force. Both the number of employed and unemployed individuals went up over the month (by 1,188 and 4,882 people respectively) according to the report.
Seasonally adjusted estimates account for regularly seen economic patterns. In the three Metropolitan Statistical Areas, the unemployment rates were 4 percent in the Carson City area, 3.5 percent in Reno and 5.6 percent in the Las Vegas area.
In Nevada’s counties, the lowest unemployment rate was in Lander County at 2.9 percent, and Nye County had the highest rate at 6 percent. County stats can be viewed here.
