Carson City Sheriff's Office welcomes two new deputies with swearing in ceremony
The Carson’s City Sheriff’s Office welcomed two new deputies in a swearing in ceremony held Thursday afternoon.
The two new deputies are Cristian Diarte of the Reserve Deputies Division, and Jason Gault, who is returning to the Sheriff’s Office after leaving to further his education.
“Both of these gentlemen are very special to us,” said Sheriff Kenny Furlong. “Jason has had an exemplary career so far and has done a lot of great work in the investigations division. Cristian is a prime example of how important our reserve division is, and the tremendous amount of work they do for our community.”
Sheriff Furlong went on to say they are on the verge of having the best year in record in 28 years.
“That speaks a lot about the folks that work here,” he said. “They’re getting in front of the wave and knocking it down. They’re mentoring kids in town, especially through the gang unit we have here. This year is a special year, and I’m excited to see how it plays out through this last month.”
