UPDATE SUNDAY: Due to the aftermath of the storm overnight, organizers have canceled Sunday's Homestead Holidays event at Carson City's Silver Saddle Ranch.
***
On Friday, the first night of Homestead Holidays kicked off at Silver Saddle Ranch in Carson City, located at 2150 Carson River Road.

Due to inclement weather, the event has been cancelled Saturday Dec. 10.

On Sunday, weather permitting, the old timey holiday celebration will continue at 5 p.m.

Carson City Parks and Recreation released the following:

Due to high winds and rain today, we are canceling Homestead Holidays for this evening, Saturday, December 10th. We apologize for any inconvenience, however we want to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for attendees. We are hopeful to still operate on Sunday but we will continue to monitor the weather conditions. For any updates tomorrow, you can check here or call our hotline at (775) 283-7629.
