Douglas County Sheriff’s Office seeks information in linked burglary cases
DCSO is seeking the public's assistance in obtaining information about a series of home burglaries that recently took place, with the suspects possibly driving a white Ford Escape.
On December 8, at 8:45 p.m., a residential burglary occurred at Porter Dr. in Minden. Entry was made through breaking a front window. A white SUV was seen in the area.
On December 9, at 6:08 a.m., at a Chiquita Circle residence in Minden, a resident awoke to a man with a ski mask looking in windows. Resident chased him off with a gun. Suspect yelled “get in the car” to another unknown suspect and fled in a white Ford Escape.
About 10 minutes later at the Porter residence, it was reported that someone was again breaking into that house. The reporting party saw an arm coming through cardboard that was covering the window that was broken during the original burglary, and a similar vehicle description was reported.
