Carson City deputies arrest drunk man for breaking slot machine with his head
A 30-year-old Ely man was arrested in the 3600 block of S. Carson City for allegedly breaking a slot machine with his head.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched just after 10 p.m. to a local sports bar on report of a male subject refusing to leave.
According to the reporting party, the man had broken a slot machine with his head.
Upon arrival, deputies contacted the man who was slumped over in his chair and was highly intoxicated, according to the report.
Deputies asked why he had broken the slot machine, to which he replied that he was a “dickhead.”
Deputies inspected the man and stated he did not show any sign of blood coming from his head, but he did have a lump over his left eye.
A witness told deputies that the man was highly intoxicated and had been told to leave, at which point he became agitated and argumentative.
He then began repeatedly slamming his head into the slot machine until it broke.
Deputies performed a preliminary breath test on the man which resulted in a .398 BAC. The man was taken to the hospital for medical clearance.
He was then transported to the Carson City Jail without incident.

— A 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at the roundabout of Arrowhead and Imus after driving into the boulder at the center of the roundabout.
According to the report, deputies arrived on scene and noted that the driver had gone straight through the intersection. The airbags had deployed but the driver appeared to be unhurt and was waiting outside of the vehicle.
Deputies performed a field sobriety test which resulted in multiple clues of impairment. The driver told deputies she had consumed one glass of wine over an hour before, and had eaten a cannabis edible earlier in the day.
The driver submitted to a PBT, which resulted in a BAC of .128.
She was taken into custody without incident.

— A 38-year-old Carson City man was arrested on the I-580 early Friday morning for DUI first and possessing a firearm while intoxicated.
Just after midnight, deputies received a report of a DUI driver on the I-580 near College Parkway. The reporting party stated the vehicle was unable to maintain its lane, was driving on the shoulder, almost hit a concrete wall, before shifting to the middle lane at which point they drove over a median.
Deputies caught up to the vehicle at South Edmonds and Koontz Lane and conducted a traffic stop.
While speaking with the driver, deputies noted he had red watery eyes, slurred speech and an alcoholic odor emanating from his person. He told deputies he was coming home from a bar in Reno.
Deputies conducted a field sobriety test, during which the man showed multiple signs of impairment.
The driver submitted to a preliminary breath test, which gave a result of .242 BAC.
Inside his vehicle, deputies located a loaded automatic pistol, of which the driver had a CCW out of Carson City.
He was booked into the Carson City Jail without incident.
