Carson City weather: Snow showers possible tonight into Thursday morning
Light snow showers could create slick driving conditions in Carson City and the Sierra tonight into Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service. While the snow amounts are expected to be light, slick roads could impact the Thursday morning commute.
For Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas, high temperatures today will be in the mid 40s, with a 40 percent chance of snow showers tonight. Daytime highs Thursday and Friday will be in the upper 30s.
Much colder air will over the region through the week with temperatures below seasonal averages. Easterly winds become breezy early Friday in the Sierra with dangerous wind chills for ridges. Another very cold low pressure system will drop into the region early next week, according to the weather service.
