Are you ready? It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Carson City
Since Monday, our wonderful Carson City Public Works crews have busily been attaching the snowflakes on light posts and placing the snowmen and penguin photo op cutout characters strategically about so you can take your Christmas shot!
On Friday, Dec. 1 at 6 pm, Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo’s grandson will flip the switch to bring the snowflakes to life. Santa Claus can’t miss Carson City when he sees this runway of lights on Christmas Eve.
Thus far, it appears the weather will be cooperative for the annual downtown Silver and Snowflakes Festival of Lights, but wear your warmest jacket and bring gloves. Plan to spend the evening enjoying the festivities and if you are planning to dine, a reservation is suggested.
We assure you a magical evening to kick-off the holidays the whole family will enjoy.

Downtown festivities begin at 4:30 pm. See you there!
