Kick start your bike and head to Battle Born Harley; their Bike Night features live music by the Smoken Rabbits. Reno Police Department has released the name of the victim who died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 50 near Dayton that involved an on-duty Nevada Highway Patrol trooper.

Food For Thought, Inc. will continue its successful Summer Lunch Program during the 2017 season. The program provides free and nutritious lunches to all children ages 2 to 18. UPDATE 955PM: From Douglas County: The Topaz Fire is in mop up status at the present time. The fire burned 8 acres within the Topaz Subdivision just south of the Topaz Lodge in Southern Douglas County.
Highway 395 was closed during initial fire attack operations. The highway is now open but motorist are urged to proceed with caution through the area. One out building was damaged in the fire and no structures were lost. Approximately 30 to 40 homes were threatened at one time. Volunteer evacuations are still in place.

TUESDAY:

A man sustained minor injuries after being stabbed Monday night in the area of Fifth Street near Saliman Road, according to Carson City deputies via dispatch.

Minor travel delays will take place this Tuesday and Wednesday at the U.S. 50 and Alternate U.S. 95 intersection in Silver Springs as part of a Nevada Department of Transportation road improvement project.
