Carson City School Board to discuss competition winners, pay budgets and more Tuesday
The next Carson City School District School Board meeting will take place tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 23 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Robert ‘Bob’ Crowell Board Room within the Carson City Community Center.
Items up for discussion at the school board include essay competition winners, statewide performance reviews, pay budgets and more.
On the agenda:
— A presentation of the 2021-2022 Carson City School District (CCSD) Board sponsored “American Citizen Essay Contest” winners will be held by Superintendent Richard Stokes.
— A discussion and possible action will be held to approve the renewal of Family Life Committee members to serve three year terms from November 2021 to November 2024 in the following categories: Medical representative, parent representative and chairperson.
— An annual review of the 2020-2021 statewide performance evaluation system for teachers and administrators in the Carson City School District will be held, as required by Nevada statutes.
— A discussion and possible action will be held to modify the annually budgeted pay for performance staff payment for the 2021-2022 school year. Approval of this item will have a fiscal impact in an amount not to exceed $500,000.

* Pioneer High School – 12:50 p.m.
* Carson High School – 1:00 p.m.
— Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, Early Release Day for ALL students; classes dismiss at the following times:
* Pioneer High School – 12:50 p.m.
* Carson High School – 1:00 p.m.
* Middle Schools – 1:20 p.m.
* Elementary Schools – 2:00 p.m.
— Dec. 20, 2021 through January 3, 2022, Winter Break; classes resume on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022
