Carson City arrests: Man booked for allegedly hitting victim with bicycle chain and lock
A 51-year-old man was arrested Monday for suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Allen Fitzpatrick White was taken into custody at 3:55 p.m. in the 100 block of East Long Street. He was also booked for suspicion of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the booking report, deputies were called to a fight. Dispatch advised one of the subjects had a bicycle lock and was hitting people with it, the report states.
A deputy arrived and located one of those involved, Allen White, who stated he was not injured, there wasn't a fight and that two others had already left the location.
A witness from FISH walked over to the deputy and stated there was a fight involving White and others. He showed where the fight occurred and a broken window. He said that White and another person were rolling on the ground and that the victim's head hit the window and broke the window, the report states.
The witness from FISH said they could provide video footage. While speaking with the witness, deputies could hear suspect White yelling and screaming at someone. The deputy exited the business and observed the victim in the parking lot who was also screaming and yelling at White saying "put your weapon down and fight like a real man."
The deputy went over to the man and asked him what happened. The man said he and White were fighting and that White took a bicycle chain with a padlock on it and struck him with it a couple times, the report states.
The victim raised his shirt where the deputy observed red welts on his back, consistent with being struck with a chain or cable. The deputy photographed the injuries. Suspect White was asked by the CCSO deputy if he hit the victim with a bike chain or bike lock. White told the deputy "I guess I'm going to jail." He was arrested for suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon.
During a search of White, the deputy located a pipe used to smoke controlled substances. Bail: $31,137.
