Carson City offers leaf and yard debris disposal beginning Monday
Carson City’s 2017 limb and leaf collection begins Monday, Nov. 13 and runs through Thursday, Nov. 16.
Carson City Public Works Operation Division will be out to pick up garden and yard debris. Leaves must be bagged and limbs must be less than six feet long and no wider than 4 inches in diameter tied in bundles.
Bags and bundles cannot exceed 60 pounds each or they will not be picked up.
Material is limited to vegetation only: leaves, limbs, pruning, etc. Public Works will not accept items such as household garbage, old appliances, furniture or lumber.
Material for pick up should be placed near the curb in plain view by Nov. 13, 7:15 a.m. Crews will begin pick ups on Monday, Nov. 13, 7:30 a.m., and continue through Thursday, Nov. 16, 5:30 p.m.
There will be no leaf and limb pick ups after Nov. 16.
Now through Thursday, Nov. 9 you can call Carson City Public Works at 887-2355 to be put on the list for free leaf and limb pick-up. Requests will be taken through 5 p.m. Thursday Nov. 9.
