Boil Water notice officially rescinded following water main break that affected over 30 households
On Wednesday, Lyon County announced a Boil Water notice to 34 residences on Grosh Avenue in Dayton following a broken water main that potentially stood to contaminate water systems for residents.
Following the announcement, the main was isolated and shut down, and those affected were without water.
A precautionary Boil Water Order Notice had been issued to those residents affected by the break. Crews anticipated the main would be repaired by noon Wednesday.
This morning, Friday, Lyon County announced that the Boil Water Notice was rescinded and residents could return to using their tap water as before.
