Carson City emergency crews respond to vehicle partially off embankment along US50 Spooner
Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol responded Tuesday afternoon to a report of a crash halfway up Highway 50 westbound Spooner, in which a vehicle left the road and was partially over the embankment.
Multiple 911 calls came into dispatch just before 2 p.m. regarding the crash, which happened in the westbound lane, halfway up from the bottom of Spooner Junction.
Vehicle occupants, including a service dog, were able to get out of the vehicle, according to first responders. Of the two passengers, one was suffering non-life threatening injuries and lacerations and was transported via ground ambulance.
Traffic was being diverted. The cause is under investigation.
