Carson City emergency crews called to 3-vehicle crash at Highway 50 and Fairview
Carson City Fire Department sheriff's deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol were called to a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon at Highway 50 East and Fairview Drive. No one was seriously injured.
The crash was reported shortly before 3:30 p.m., involves three vehicles and is blocking the eastbound lanes. First responders arriving noted all parties in the vehicles were alert and conscious and did not suffer serious or life-threatening injuries. One person was being transported to the hospital via ambulance.
Motorists can expect delays and should take alternate routes. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Meanwhile, at 3:42 p.m. Carson City paramedics and sheriff's deputies were called to a hit and run pedestrian crash in the parking lot of Walmart. The victim reportedly suffered some cuts and scratches. The vehicle, a red sedan, fled the scene.
