The Nevada Show is currently on exhibit through Dec. 24. The gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday 12pm to 4pm. Located at 449 W. King Street, Carson City, (775-882-6411). This year’s show is outstanding with artwork from 58 artists and all of the artwork is for sale. Come in with your family to experience our biggest show of the year. The Nevada Artist Association was founded in 1950 and opened its current gallery location in 1979 on the campus of the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City.

Ever since, the annual Nevada Day Show has featured member and non-member artists from Northern Nevada and California with entries in oils, water colors, pastels, acrylics, dry media, mixed media, photography, digital art, and 3D art.

Carson City Fire Department was dispatched to the Carson City Sheriff's Office at 911 East Musser Street Tuesday morning for a possible structure fire.
The call came into dispatch shortly before 10:50 a.m. for a report of smoke coming from the evidence room of the building.

A 24-year-old woman was booked into Carson City Jail on Monday for a felony probation warrant, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

NEW WASHOE CITY, Nev. – June 2017 events at Washoe Lake State Park include a sunset hike, a rattlesnake program, a sunrise Summer Solstice hike and a star party with telescopes.

A man sustained minor injuries after being stabbed Monday night in the area of Fifth Street near Saliman Road, according to Carson City deputies via dispatch.

UPDATE 7:56PM: From NHP: At approximately 2:40 p.m., a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper was involved in a fatal crash on Highway 50, 5 miles east of Dayton. One person was confirmed deceased on scene. The NHP tooper was transported via CareFlight to Renown with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Reno Police Department M.A.I.T. Investigators are handling the crash investigation.

Minor travel delays will take place this Tuesday and Wednesday at the U.S. 50 and Alternate U.S. 95 intersection in Silver Springs as part of a Nevada Department of Transportation road improvement project.

A 74-year-old Livingston, Texas woman died Saturday in a crash that happened on US95 at the south end of Walker Lake, north of Hawthorne, a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper said.

This last weekend was my birthday weekend. I followed none of my usual traditions, at least the way I usually do them. I went to a different retreat. I met new friends. I went to a different beach. I saw Wonder Woman in D-Box at Galaxy Theater inside Casino Fandango. Each of these new experiences gave me new perspective. It was then I realized there is comfort in routine. Mylo McCormick Performs at the Silver Pavilion June 6

SILVER CITY - Bring a lawn chair and a picnic to the Comstock and enjoy a morning in the shaded Silver City park with a free acoustic blues concert by Mylo McCormick on Tuesday, June 6th from 10am to noon.

He’ll perform on the town’s new outdoor stage, the Silver Pavilion, located adjacent to the town community center, known as the School House, at 385 High Street.
