Carson City arrests: Woman jailed for alleged battery after drinking six pack, fighting

A 37-year-old Carson City woman was arrested late Wednesday for misdemeanor suspicion of battery in an incident at an apartment complex, according to a sheriff's office booking report.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched at 11:27 p.m. to the 800 block of North Carson Street for an incident involving several individuals. Deputies arrived on scene and the female suspect was identified as the primary aggressor. She was detained. Officer spoke with several witnesses to get an accurate account of the incident.
Deputies were advised the woman had consumed a six pack of beer and became extremely intoxicated, the booking report states. According to the victim, the suspect walked to her apartment and began cursing and yelling profanities and attempted to go inside her apartment. The witness walked outside to avoid the suspect going into her apartment, the arrest report states.
Several other residents and the property manager heard the noise and saw the suspect push the victim out of the way. The suspect then went toward the property manager in an aggressive manner. When officers arrived on scene the suspect was still combative.
Deputies read the suspect her Miranda warning, which she advised she understood and agreed to speak. She advised she hit the victim first, which started the incident. Deputies reviewed video footage of the incident and confirmed the information. She was arrested for suspicion of battery after a citizens' arrest statement was completed. Bail: $1,137.
In other arrests:
— A 26-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and two other offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team booking report.
Michaela Alexandria Hoff was taken into custody at 7:47 p.m. in the 500 block of East William Street. She was also booked for suspicion of making an improper turn and no proof of insurance.
According to the arrest report, a deputy observed a vehicle traveling westbound on East William in the slow lane, approaching Anderson Street. The vehicle changed lanes from the number 2 lane to the center turn lane without signaling. Then the vehicle turned south into a grocery store parking lot without using a turn signal.
The officer made contact with the driver who identified herself with her license. She was unable to provide proof of insurance. A K-9 performed an exterior sniff of the vehicle and alerted positive. The woman provided verbal consent to search the vehicle, the report states.
Deputies located two small plastic baggies under the driver's seat. Both had small amounts of clear crystalline substance which tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. She was arrested. Bail: $2,500.
