Search continues for missing Mono County teen who has family ties in Lyon County
The Mono County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing juvenile from Chalfant near Bishop, Calif., who has family ties in Yerington, Nev. Sixteen-year-old Karlie Lain Gusé was last seen in the early morning of Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, on Ponderosa Street near White Mountain Estate Road in Chalfant.
Karlie may be disoriented and does not have any personal belongings or cell phone with her. If you have seen Karlie or have any information regarding her whereabouts, please call Mono County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at 760-932-7549, option 7.
Karlie is a white female, 16 years old, 5’ 07”, 110 pounds, dark blond hair and blue eyes. She is possibly wearing a white t-shirt and gray sweatpants.
According to the Mono County Sheriff’s Office via Facebook on Sunday, the search includes the use of scent dogs, helicopters and ground resources. MCSO is not accepting volunteers at this time, according to its Facebook page. “We understand and appreciate the desire to help, but please allow the professionals to do their work without interference and distraction. Thank you to everyone who shared this post. Please continue to spread the word and increase awareness of Karlie.”
In a Facebook post Sunday, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office asked that anyone who may have seen Karlie Gusé or knows her whereabouts to please contact either the Mono County Sheriff's Office at 760-932-7549 (option 7), or the Lyon County Sheriff's Office at 775-463-6620.
