UPDATE 10:39PM: One suspect is in custody Friday night after surrendering to the Carson City Sheriff’s Office MOST team following a standoff in the 1300 block of North Edmonds. Residents can return to their homes. There were no injuries and no shots were fired, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office responded Friday evening to a person who barricaded himself in a residence after displaying an AK-47, according to Sherriff Ken Furlong.
The incident is in the 1300 block of North Edmonds. Edmonds is closed between Fairview and Brown Street. Those who are in the area are asked to shelter in place. All people should avoid the area. SWAT has been called.
