Carson City arrests: Woman jailed for warrant alleging sexual assault against child

A 24-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday for a warrant alleging sexual assault against a child under 14 years of age, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.

Juanita Alicia Real was taken into custody at 1:19 p.m. in the 2700 block of South Carson Street. The warrant was issued on Oct. 5, 2021.

According to the booking report a deputy was dispatched to a South Carson Street motel for a warrant service and arrested Real for the warrant. Bail: $150,000.

In other arrests:
— A 55-year-old woman was arrested Oct. 12 for suspicion of DUI drugs (marijuana). According to the booking report, a deputy observed a vehicle with a white cloud of smoke coming from the driver-side window occupying two parking spots horizontally.

A deputy made contact with the driver and could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The officer spoke with the woman, who became agitated, claiming she had done nothing wrong and the officer was harassing her, the arrest report states.

The officer asked her if she was smoking marijuana inside the vehicle. The woman claimed she had not and stated she let her son use the vehicle earlier and didn't know if her son smoked marijuana inside the vehicle earlier, the report states.

The woman argued with the deputy, saying she did nothing wrong and, at one point, attempted to turn on the ignition switch to the vehicle, the report states. The officer told her she was not free to leave.

The woman consented to a field sobriety test and failed the testing, with indicators of being under the influence. The woman was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI drugs. Bail: $1,137.
