Lyon County authorities investigate deaths in Silver Springs area, sheriff says no threat to community
UPDATE 10:07PM: Detectives with the Lyon County Sheriff's Office along with investigators and specialists from the DPS Investigations Division and the Forensic Investigation Section continue to actively pursue the cause and circumstances of the three deaths discovered in Silver Springs on Saturday night.
According to Sheriff Al McNeil, based on the investigation so far detectives are confident there is no threat to the community.

Lyon County authorities are investigating the deaths of three people in two Silver Springs locations after an initial medical call Saturday evening to a residence.
On Saturday at approximately 8:17 p.m. the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 2800 block of Tonopah Avenue for a medical call. Upon arrival, sheriff’s deputies found a 46-year-old woman who was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to a news release.
Through the course of their investigation, sheriff’s deputies obtained information regarding local family of the deceased.
Deputies responded to the family’s residence in the 3000 block of East Third Street in Silver Springs to conduct a next-of-kin notification. When they arrived at the residence, deputies discovered two additional deceased persons, according to the news release.
Lyon County authorities have not indicated how these people may have died or if they may have died by weapons.
At this time, an investigation is underway to determine if the two incidents are connect and detectives are actively conducting interviews to gather more information. Identification of the deceased is not available as efforts to notify the next of kin are still underway.
