Authorities look for man who escaped from Virginia City Jail early Monday morning
Authorities are looking for a man, unarmed but believed dangerous, who escaped early this morning from the Virginia City Jail. Jeremy James Morales, escaped at about 1:50 this morning, according to Storey County authorities. He was being held in Storey County Jail on charges of sexual assault involving a minor.
Morales, 38, is 5' 11" tall and weighs about 220 pounds. He apparently locked a deputy inside his jail cell when the deputy was doing cell checks. He was scheduled to be sentenced to the Nevada Corrections Department today.
Morales was last seen wearing a black and white jail jumpsuit and flip flops.
Carson City, Lyon County and Washoe County authorities are on the lookout for him. If you've seen him call 911.
