Carson City Sheriff's Office investigates early morning vehicle shooting
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is investigating a battery with a deadly weapon incident that occurred early Saturday morning, Sept. 30. One person was injured by gunshot.
At approximately 3 a.m., five people were at the AM/PM gas station at the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 East and Lompa Lane in Carson City.
The victims of the battery with a deadly weapon encountered a white male adult, aged 25-40 years old, in a blue minivan, possibly an older Dodge Caravan. A white female adult was also passenger in the minivan.
The suspect vehicle traveled east on Highway 50 from AM/PM.
The victims left shortly after, also traveling east on Highway 50.
As the victim vehicle passed the suspect vehicle, the male suspect shot the victim vehicle several times. A passenger in the victim vehicle was injured.
The victim’s called 9-1-1 and they were met by law enforcement and fire department personnel.
The victim was transported by ground ambulance to Renown Medical Center in Reno where the victim was treated for minor injuries and released.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects and their vehicle. Photographs of the suspect vehicle and the female passenger are attached.
