Carson City arrests: Domestic battery suspect accused of throwing bowl oranges, TV remote
A 25-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday in the 1600 block of Airport Road for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery after allegedly throwing oranges and a TV remote at the male victim and then twisting his private parts when he attempted to call for help.
According to the arrest report, the suspect and the male victim began arguing as the victim was preparing a tri-tip roast for dinner. The victim stated the woman attacked and hit him in the face with a TV remote, causing the remote to break. The victim said the woman had also thrown a bowl of oranges at him, hitting him numerous times.
When the victim said he attempted to call law enforcement, the woman allegedly grabbed him by the testicles and twisted them, before leaving the apartment. The victim had swelling and redness to the right side of his face, swelling and redness on the underside of his right forearm and scratches on his neck. Deputies took photos of the man's injuries and the broken remote.
Deputies also took photos of the suspect's hands and did not see any injuries on the woman. She advised that she had a bruise on the inside of her left arm, which the deputy photographed.
The deputy asked about the TV remote. The woman said she had hit the man in the head with the remote in self defense. She advised she had not thrown the bowl of oranges at the man but at the ground instead. She further advised she did not twist the man's testicles when he attempted to call law enforcement.
The man's injuries and the state of the apartment matched the victim's account of the altercation. The suspect's account of events, however, changed several times. She was determined to be the primary aggressor. Bail: $3,137.
