Carson City Fire Department respond to structure fire on Lake Glen Drive
UPDATE 7:48AM: A battalion chief on scene reports the fire is no longer a threat to nearby residences and have it knocked down. The cause is under investigation.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded Tuesday morning to a structure fire in the 100 block of Lake Glen Drive.
The fire was reported at around 7:20 a.m. it started in the garage of a residence, with the garage being fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived.
One person, believed to be inside, escaped, according to first responders on scene. Nearby residences were being evacuated.
Multiple fire engines have responded. People should avoid the area to allow firefighters access.
The cause of the fire is unknown. Check back for updates.
Elsewhere, at around 7:30 a.m. firefighters responded to an injury crash near the intersection of Airport Road and 5th Street. Motorists can expect delays.
