Carson City man booked for multiple counts of child sexual assault; held on half a million dollar bail
A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested on 7 counts of felony sexual assault with a child.
Damon Dante Flores was arrested Thursday after being transferred from the Washoe County Jail on the confirmed arrest warrants.
The warrant was issued in Dec. of 2021 charging Flores with three counts of sexual assault against a child under the age of 14; 3 counts of lewdness with a child under the age of 14; and one count of sexual child abuse causing substantial mental harm.
According to the criminal complaint filed against Flores by the Carson City DA's office, Flores is accused of sexually assaulting a then nine-year-old child multiple times, including rape, and forcing that child to view pornographic videos which caused substantial mental harm and/or trauma.
Flores was booked into the Carson City Jail with a bail amount of $500,000.

— A 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested int eh area of North Stewart and Burton for DUI first.
Deputies stopped the vehicle just before 3:30 a.m. on Friday morning due to the vehicle not having an illuminated license plat or a right side mirror.
When deputies spoke with the driver, she appeared to have red, watery eyes and delayed speech. A small bottle of UV Vodka was in the front passenger seat of her vehicle along with two other small bottles in the back passenger side of the vehicle.
When asked if she had consumed any alcoholic beverages, the driver said “not really.”
When deputies asked what she meant by that, she said, “It just means not really.”
During the field sobriety test, deputies asked if she had been drinking, and she said “No.” They then asked how long since her last drink, and she stated, “Two to three hours ago.”
The driver refuse to consent to a preliminary breath test. At the jail, she failed the breath test with deficient breath samples three times. Two hours after her arrest, her blood was drawn by order of a warrant.

— A 46-year-old Reno woman was arrested in the area of College Parkway and E. Nye for possessions of a controlled substance.
According to the arrest report, April Dawn Hornbeck was arrested after deputies stopped a vehicle for driving with no rear plate.
The Reno woman was a passenger in the vehicle, and deputies instructed both the driver and Hornbeck to exit the vehicle.
K-9 Deputy Blue arrived on scene and performed an exterior sniff, and provided a positive alert.
Inside the vehicle, deputies located a clear container with a blue smiley face on it inside of Hornbeck’s purse. Inside the container deputies could see a white crystalline substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine.
Hornbeck told deputies she knew the container was in her purse but stated she was unaware of the white crystal substance being inside the container.
She was taken into custody without incident.
