Tazmanian Boxing Cub now open in new Carson City location
Tazmanian Boxing Club, a multi-faceted fitness gym in Carson City, is now open in its new location at 3737 North Carson Street in Carson City.
The club is more than a sparring gym, owner Francisco Rodriguez said. It promotes health and wellness through a variety of fitness programs.
These include Rock Steady Boxing, an Indianapolis, IN-based fitness program that uses boxing principals to help patients suffering from Parkinson's Disease be more functional.
Tazmanian Boxing Club is also home to Torres Mixed Martial Arts, led by former professional kickboxer Juan Torres.
In addition, the gym offers cardio workouts for women, nutrition services, an anti-bullying program, and serves as a positive venue for youth of all ages and abilities in the community.
Rodriguez said Tazmanian Boxing Club has an open house planned for Oct. 1.
For general information, email the club at ciscorboxing1@yahoo.com or call Rodriguez at 775-722-1752. For information about kickboxing and mixed martial arts, contact Juan Torres at 702-287-7454. For information about the women's cardio program, contact Desiree Varner at 775-400-6047.
